The Provincetown Players: Constancy, Suppressed Desires, and Change Your Style

Saturday, July 23, 2016 2:00 – 3:30 pm

Harwood Museum of Art, Arthur Bell Auditorium

Free with admission

The Harwood presents screening of three short plays by The Provincetown Players, an influential group of American playwrights and artists that formed in 1915: Constancy is a satire on free love (based on Mabel’s love affair with John Reed); Suppressed Desires is the first theatrical satire on Freudian psychoanalysis; and Change Your Style is a satire on the value of modern art. Each film will be introduced by Lois Rudnick.
